If your driver’s licence or ID card has been lost or stolen, you can obtain a replacement by visiting our registry office. You will need to bring an alternate form of identification, such as:
- Birth Certificate
- Valid Passport
- National Defense Card
- Valid Indian Status Card
- Permanent Resident/Citizenship Card
- Valid Work/Study/Visitor Permit
- Current utility bill, phone bill, or credit card bill
- Current pay stub with your name, address, and date
If you do not have any of the above documents, please contact an agent to discuss alternative solutions at 403-329-1193.
A new photo will be taken, and you will be issued a temporary driver’s licence or ID card. Your permanent card will be mailed to you within approximately 10 business days.
Note: This service is not available for licences or IDs that have been expired for more than six months. Please contact an agent to discuss alternative solutions.
