Overdue Fines
When a fine is not paid by the due date on the summons, you will be convicted of the infraction, and the fine will become overdue. All overdue fines must be paid before any motor vehicle service can be performed for you. Ticket numbers are not required when paying overdue fines.
Payment Options:
- In-Person:
Visit our office to pay using debit, cash, credit card (additional fee applies), certified cheque, or money order. - Online Payment for Tickets Older than Two Years:
- Email a request to onlineservices@lethbridgeregistry.com, including your driver’s licence/ID card number and name.
- We will review your file and email you a link with the cost details and a secure payment portal for your credit card information. The email will have the subject line “Invoice from Lethbridge Registry.”
- Once payment is submitted, an agent will process your request.
- Online Payment for Tickets Less than Two Years Old:
You can pay through MyAlberta.
Transaction Fee: $9.00 per ticket (incl GST)
Current Fines
Current fines are tickets that have not yet passed their court date. These fines can be paid in three ways:
- In-Person:
Present your ticket at the registry office. Payments can be made using debit card, cash, or credit card (extra fees apply). - Online:
Pay here online. Please note that online payments take 72 hours to process. - At the Courthouse:
Visit the courthouse listed on your ticket to make a payment.
Transaction Fee: $9.00 per ticket (incl GST)
