To apply for a parking placard, you must complete a Parking Placard Application Form for Persons with Disabilities with the assistance of your physician, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist. Once completed, submit the form to our office.

Placard Color Coding:
- Blue Placards – Issued for long-term disabilities and are valid for five years.
- Red Placards – Issued for temporary disabilities lasting between three to twelve months. (Note: Visitors can use their valid, non-expired parking placard from their home jurisdiction during their stay in Alberta.)
Fee: $9.00 (incl GST)
Licence Plate Option:
You can also get a licence plate that contains the official disabled driver logo. An applicant requesting plates must have the vehicle(s) registered with the name of the person with the disability on the vehicle registration.
