To transfer your existing vehicle registration to another vehicle, you will need:
- An Alberta driver’s licence
- Proof of ownership
- An original NVIS (for brand new vehicles only)
- Proof of insurance
If a vehicle was purchased outside of Alberta, it may require an out-of-province inspection. See “Vehicle Inspections” for additional information.
